Christie Lenee at The Habitat 2026

About the Show…

Christie took First Place at the International Fingerstyle Guitar Championship in 2017, was voted Acoustic Guitarist of the Year by England’s Music Radar in 2019, and was named one of the “Best Acoustic Guitarists in the World Right Now” by Guitar World Magazine in 2020.

And she is coming back to The Habitat

Christie Lenée is a captivating performer with a devoted following among instrumental, folk-pop and rock band audiences. Combining guitar mastery, contemporary singer/songwriter and a passion for storytelling, she thrives onbringing people together through the language of music.

Christie’s unique guitar work and profound instrumental compositions are well described as ‘Michael Hedges meets Joni Mitchell and Dave Matthews.’ Among the vast community of fingerstyle and tapping guitarists, her niche is the integration of melodic pop lyricism with catchy hooks that excite both modern commercial listeners and classic purists. With a menu of percussive and sonic effects, and larger than life sounding instruments, her solo shows embody layers of orchestral elements with a wide array of dynamics and harmonic textures.

We also encourage you to check out her web site: Christie Lenée Music

Keith Sykes with Sunny Jim 2026

Saturday April 11, 2026 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM

Keith Sykes 2026 featuring Sunny Jim White

Check out his Wikipedia Entry – Keith Sykes on Wiki

Check out his personal Webpage – Keith Sykes Music

Once upon a time in the summer of 1967, Keith Sykes hitchhiked to the Newport Folk Festival and saw Arlo Guthrie perform “Alice’s Restaurant.” In the fall of that year he got a copy of the album, learned the whole song and sang it at a Holiday Inn in Charleston, South Carolina. They hired him on the spot for a regular gig playing music in the hotel.

It’s pretty perfect that such a rambling tale should be at the start of Keith’s own rambling tale – in the more than 40 years that followed, he would become a troubadour and storyteller, a massively successful songwriter with more than 100 songs recorded by artists as diverse as Rosanne Cash and George Thorogood. He would tour every corner of America and play in just about every conceivable kind of venue, appear on Saturday Night Live and Austin City Limits, and host songwriter nights on Memphis’ legendary Beale Street with many of music’s most talented songwriters. He would join Jimmy Buffett’s Coral Reefer Band, tour the country and record the Volcano album – the title track for which he co-wrote with Jimmy.

To date, recordings of Keith’s songs have sold more than 25 million copies worldwide. With 13 full-length albums released – and great success with his own publishing company, credited with signing John Kilzer to Geffen Records and the discovery of Todd Snider – Keith Sykes has proven to be nothing short of prolific.

Doors open at 5:30, Show at 6:30. Park on our side of the street only, use our driveway and the one at the house closer to Manatee Ave (511 49th), park in the grass if available (avoid the water meters marked by orange cones please!)

Artist Relief Fund Fundraiser 2026 with Scott Kirby – FRIDAY show!

By |
Friday March 20, 2026 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM

note, VIP IS SOLD OUT, if you register as VIP after 3/17 we will not be able to insure a VIP option for you unless there is a cancellation. Than you for understanding.

NOTE – while we have a suggested donation, as this is specifically a fundraiser for the TRMA Artists Relief Fund we encourage you to consider a higher donation to help all our artists! Make sure to see the special raffle item as well!!!

I am going to start out with the specifics of the purpose of this show – it is a fundraiser for the TRMA Artists Relief Foundation, and all of Scott’s Merch Sales will go towards the fund, and all proceeds of the show from the gate (above his travel expenses) will also go to the foundation!

So what is the TRMA Artist Relief Foundation?

The TRMA Artist Relief Foundation provides a financial safety net of critical assistance for independent musicians in times of need.

The Foundation’s services and resources cover a wide range of financial, medical and personal emergencies.

The TRMA Artist Relief Foundation also focuses the resources and attention of the independent music industry on human service issues that directly impact the health and welfare of the music community.

If you are unable to come to the show, but would still like to contribute, contact us and we will arrange it. and if you are interested in participating in the special raffles (see further down) and purchase tickets, we can arrange that – you don’t need to be present to win and you will help an artist!

About Scott:

Singer, songwriter, guitarist, storyteller, traveler and road warrior are all words that aptly describe Scott Kirby. Finishing songs while driving through the Italian countryside, performing 100 plus live shows throughout the US and Canada, touring Ireland with 50 fans in tow, and recording his tenth album in Nashville, all keep the barnacles off this modern-day troubadour.

Kirby started writing songs after some inspirational late-night words from legendary songwriter Shel Silverstein and further encouragement from Peter Mayer, who had just joined the Coral Reefer Band. A year later he found himself recording his first CD, Too Damn Yankee, in Jimmy Buffett’s Shrimpboat Sound Studio with Peter and Jim Mayer and Roger Guth. “This was a very lucky break for me, but I was in a bit over my head,” says Kirby. “Peter, Jim and Roger were incredibly patient with me and it was a fantastic learning experience.”

When it comes to songwriting, Kirby respects authenticity and counts on everyday life and his coastal roots for much of his inspiration. “I don’t wake up every day thinking about writing the next commercial hit,” says Kirby. “Songwriting for me is about telling stories, expressing emotions, and commentary on things I may find funny or absurd.”

Over the years Kirby has shared the stage with some of his favorite artists: Carole King, Jimmy Buffett, Tom Rush, Mac McAnally, Darius Rucker, Livingston Taylor, Marty Stewart, Asleep at the Wheel and others. When not on the road or performing in Key West, Kirby splits his time between Key West and the coast of Maine, where he can often be found sailing, a lifelong passion of this descendent of Newfoundland fishermen. He’s also recently discovered a little town in Southern France, where he plans to lay his head a month or two each year.

Yes, Scott Kirby is—as he readily admits—lucky enough.

We will also have a special Fundraising Raffle for this show – read below for details – this is an $1100 value

Heather Vidal 2026

Saturday March 14, 2026 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM

Heather Vidal 2026

Heather Vidal began studying music in a classical setting as a vocal major and was a member of the #1 jazz choir in the country.  Singing with the likes of Chick Corea, Sarah Vaughn, and other jazz greats, she perfected her skills with melody as well as harmony. But her passion for folk, rock, and blues led her into live performances in bars, festivals, house concerts, etc., as she realized music would become her career.

After a three year tour with a successful rock band, Heather formed a duo called Copper Sky which lasted 25 years. Those years with her partner taught her how to connect on a personal level with the audience and entertain with both music and fun.

Throughout her career, she has collaborated with several musicians in a variety of genres.  Little did she know that by keeping her mind open to different styles, it would help guide her into her own songwriting.  Along with her original music, Heather has an ability to interpret other writer’s material while honoring the artist’s message.  She truly “herds the cats” and commands an audience by entertaining through humor and story telling.

Heather travels extensively during the year performing throughout the mid-Atlantic region, Ireland, Colorado, and Key West. She connects with people everywhere she goes with the help of her soulful voice and legitimate guitar playing. She has become a regular “house concert” performer throughout the U.S. which allows her to share her time and music with friends in a more personal and meaningful setting.

Doors open at 5:30, Show at 6:30. Park on our side of the street only, use our driveway and the one at the house closer to Manatee Ave (511 49th), park in the grass if available (avoid the water meters marked by orange cones please!)

A Queen Between Two Jesters! Carrie Welling, Brent Burns, Mick Fury 2026

This will be something new for all of them – they have not been on stage together before…

we are very excited that we get to change that for them!

Carrie Welling, Brent Burns, and Mick Fury – a Queen between two Jokers!

About The Artists:

Check out Carrie’s website – Carrie Welling Music

Check out Brent’s website – Brent Burns Music

Check out Carrie’s website – Mick Fury Music

Fans have loved Carrie Welling’s music from the inception and it’s clear to see why. Her bold, sultry voice, reminiscent of Sheryl Crow’s grit, Tom Petty’s pen, and Stevie Nicks’ heart, is upstaged only by the genuine love and connection this natural performer has with her fans both on and off stage. Melodies rich in Americana pop blend seamlessly with her singer-songwriter roots and empowered, honest lyrics. But while this new collection of songs while she maintains her signature raw vulnerability and authenticity – qualities that are essential to her creative process – fans will certainly take note of a more mature and evolved sound.

Brent Burns was born in Oklahoma, raised in Arizona and arrived in Gulf Shores, Alabama in 1972. This son of the desert has become the poet laureate of the beach. In 2006, Burns was named “Official Music Ambassador of the Alabama Gulf Coast Convention and Visitors Bureau.” In 2008, Burns won three awards in the first ever Trop Rock Music Awards. Burns won “Entertainer of the Year,” “CD of the Year (for “Ragtops and Flip Flops”)” and a special WAVE award for his charitable work. 2010 brought more Trop Rock Music awards, CD and Song of the Year for “I’ve Got A Beach in My Backyard” and Songwriter of the Year. In 2011 he added two more awards – Songwriter of the Year and Entertainer of the Year! 2012 brought awards for CD and Song of the Year for “Don’t Come Knockin’ If The Tiki Hut’s Rockin’.”

Mick Fury is an award winning singer/songwriter and is acclaimed for doing the 90 minute score and songwriting for Mel Gibson and Cole Hauser (Rip of Yellowstone) $10 million dollar theatrical film PANAMA. He’s shared the stage with everyone from the Stone Temple Pilots to Vertical Horizon to the Brothers Osborne, and is known for his intimate storytelling and big personality. Mick started his musical journey playing in his old man’s Southern Rock band in Syracuse, NY as a drummer. When the keyboardist left the band, Mick slid in as his replacement. When the band needed a back up guitar player and harmony singer, he happily jumped into that slot. After a few years of late night gigs and learning the ropes of being a dive bar musician, Mick packed up his stuff and headed out to LA to be a rockstar on the Sunset Strip. After an incredible year of performing at the Colorado Parrothead Festival, Meeting of the Minds, and Trop Rock n’ Duval, Mick began releasing a fun set of drinking songs from his upcoming album “Not Not Drinkin’”. The first single is the incredibly catchy and heart wrenching love song “Good Afternoon Tequila”. He’s currently touring festivals and house concerts across America teaching folks the benefits of “Not Not Drinkin’”.Doors open at 5:30, Show at 6:30. Uncle Jim Mayer 2026 – his “first” House Concert

Uncle Jim has played house concerts before, but this is his first one where he is the headliner, and has the opportunity to play more of his music and talk about his music, his work with kids and music, and maybe even his time with Jimmy and music! (we know that we will also have Dave Freeman on Keys, and Donny Brewer on guitar, and there is a possibility there will be percussion as well!

The “DEB” concert 2026 – Donny Brewer, Eric Erdman, Brendan Mayer. and Remembering Deb Harrison

About The Show…

When we originally booked these musicians for the 2025 show, we knew it was going to be well received – but in the days leading up to it last year, a shadow came across the Trop Rock world with the loss of Deb Harrison.  As we were getting ready for this show just days after her passing, we realized that the musicians initials spelled out DEB – While it wasn’t originally intended to be known as the DEB show, it was only fitting to honor her with music.  After the wonderful evening we had, the three musicians talked and decided we should do it again…

About The Artists…

They all don’t necessarily need an introduction, so we will include a very shortened version here, and encourage you to visit their websites and on-line content to find out more if you need to!

Donny Brewer is a Central Texas born and bred multi-instrumentalist with over 30 years experience entertaining crowds in all genres in all parts of the world. Though he has been writing and recording Trop Rock all his life, he was not discovered until 2012 after releasing his first of five beach and escapism themed albums, Live Like Jimmy Buffett.

He’s since won 25 Trop Rock Music Association awards for his music including Entertainer Of The Year 6 times. Check out his website at: Donny Brewer Music

Eric Erdman is a guitar slinging troubadour. His lyrics paint stories that are introspective and deep, quirky but palatable. His songs have fresh hooks that somehow draw listeners in like old friends. Eric has penned the theme song for “Drag Race High” , his song “Stone’s Throw” is a hit for the Red Clay Strays (and is featured on both the Strays’ “Moments to Remember” and “Live at The Ryman” albums), his song “Caddo County” (with Dave Cobb and The Red Clay Strays is featured on the 2025 Grammy nominated “Twisters” soundtrack) .

He is the 15X (2010-2024) Lagniappe Awards Solo Musician of the Year, 2021 Southland Music Line Musician of the Year, 4X TRMA Songwriter of the year and co-wrote the 2021 TRMA Song of the Year , “The Wave” and Single of the Year “Family Tree” and his current album “Enough” hit the TOP 20 on the iTunes Country album chart. Check out his website at: Eric Erdman Music

Brendan Mayer is the son of Jimmy Buffet’s long time lead Guitarist Peter Mayer, and is following in his father’s footsteps becoming a highly successful musician on his own merits.  With an introspective lyricism and engaging melodic sensibility that marries Americana, Folk, and Indie Pop, Brendan creates music that is somewhere between Nick Drake, John Mayer, The National, and Arcade Fire. He tours regularly throughout the United States and Europe, and has steadily built a loyal following. Check out his website at Brendan Mayer

Kitty Steadman 2026

Kitty Steadman 2026

Meet Kitty…

Singer-songwriter Kitty Steadman has spent the better part of her life carving her own path through the Americana scene — equal parts grit, heart, and wanderlust. Known for her powerhouse vocals and vivid storytelling, Kitty first made waves as the frontwoman and primary songwriter for Drop Dead Dangerous, the high-energy Southern rock and roots outfit that earned a devoted following across the country.

While her time with the band shaped her voice and drive, Kitty’s solo work reveals a new depth — more personal, more honest, and more her. Her songs balance edge and empathy, celebrating resilience and connection with a voice that feels lived-in and true.

From the songwriter rounds of Nashville to the sun-soaked stages of Key West, Kitty’s shows blend energy, intimacy, and community. Her fans — lovingly known as the Steadheads — have followed her through every musical chapter, from rowdy full-band anthems to stripped-down storytelling nights. Her forthcoming project, The Orchid, recorded in Key West, marks the next evolution of her sound: rooted in her past, but boldly blooming into something entirely her own.
